Eric Singer (nacido como Eric Doyle Mensinger ; 12 de mayo de 1958) es un músico estadounidense de hard rock y heavy metal , mejor conocido como miembro de Kiss , que interpreta a The Catman interpretado originalmente por Peter Criss . También ha actuado con artistas como Black Sabbath , Alice Cooper , Lita Ford , Badlands , Brian May y Gary Moore , así como con su propia banda ESP . En su carrera, Singer ha aparecido en más de 75 álbumes y 11 EP.

Singer nació como Eric Doyle Mensinger en Cleveland, Ohio . Creció en Euclid, Ohio. Su padre, Johnny Mensinger, era de ascendencia judía alemana y era un líder de big band local que tocaba en la zona, así como en cruceros de Estados Unidos a Europa y viceversa. El joven Eric comenzó a tocar la batería desde una edad temprana y se inspiró en bandas como Humble Pie , The Who , Led Zeppelin , Black Sabbath , The Beatles y Queen y bateristas como John Bonham , Keith Luna , acogedor Powell ,Roger Taylor , Bill Ward y Buddy Rich .
